SAINTCON Day 2 and a Mack Hawthorne update

It was another good day at SAINTCON. I spent some time playing a capture the flag, catching up with more people, and generally enjoying the day. While this has been a good week, I'm starting to get ready to be back home. Mostly, I'm just ready to be back with Shannon. I'm also interested in seeing how the bathroom demolition has gone. We now have no bathrooms on the main floor of our home and won't for a few weeks. Fortunately, we have a basement bathroom so we aren't out of toilets. 😄

Mack Hawthorne

I've been thinking about a title and I think I'm just going to start calling it Mack Hawthorne for now. That may change as I get further into the story and a theme or quote stands out to me. So expect me to just call it by Mack's name.

I spent a couple of hours writing tonight. The second chapter is nearly done and the crew is back with people who trust them. It's going to continue to be difficult on them though. They've begun realizing that not all is well in Restaria and they are going to take some personal blows in the process of absorbing that realization.

As it stands, the first draft is about 6.3% complete. I'd like to have this draft done by the end of the year, so that I can begin the second draft and revisions in 2026.
