Saturday house work and wedding presents

Last night I had visions of spending 3 or so hours working on the Mack Hawthorne Project. That was about as far as I got. It was a busy day and I got a lot done, but I took on too much.
Saturdays generally begin with mowing the lawn. We have a pretty good sized lot, so it takes a while but it I'm usually done in a couple of hours. However, the hitch in today's plans came when my wife and I were talking about her plans to build something for my brother-in-law's wedding. That's coming up pretty soon, which means we need to move everything in the garage away from the CNC machine.
The end result was that I spent the afternoon cleaning up the garage. Our garage got way out of hand this summer. Even after taking stuff to storage, I still needed a lot of storage at the house. So I decided to build a storage rack for twelve 27 gallon storage totes. I got home from buying supplies at 5:30 and was done at 9:30. Not bad, but the day and I were both completely spent.

It came out pretty good for a four hour build, but next time I'm starting much earlier in the day. I'm very glad I don't have to mess with the garage tomorrow. Ibuprofen is my friend tonight.
I hope to sneak in some writing time tomorrow. It's a busy Sunday, but it will settle down in the early afternoon.
